Bursa, one of the most influential cities in Turkey’s machinery industry, is once again hosting a major event. Organized by TÜYAP Bursa Fuarcılık A.Ş. and the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), in cooperation with the Association of Machine Tool Industrialists and Businesspeople (TİAD) and the Machinery Manufacturers Association (MİB), and supported by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, the fair will take place between December 14–17, 2022, at TÜYAP Bursa International Fair and Congress Center.
The Major Meeting of the Machinery Industry: BUMATECH Bursa Machine Technologies Fair, December 14–17
The BUMATECH Bursa Machine Technologies Fair, the intercontinental meeting point of the machinery manufacturing sector, will once again bring together the industry in Bursa from December 14–17.
Bringing Metal Processing, Sheet Metal Processing, and Automation Technologies under one roof, BUMATECH will showcase the latest innovations from robotic systems to 3D printers and scanners, fiber laser cutting machines to CNC machinery.
With its strong role in the industrial sector, Bursa—Turkey’s economic powerhouse—will host this international event across 7 halls covering 40,000 m², expecting over 35,000 qualified visitors. The fair is set to strengthen business networks and make a significant contribution to Turkey’s export performance.
Visitors from Around the World
The fair, organized by TÜYAP Bursa Fuarcılık A.Ş. and the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) with the support of TİAD, MİB, KOSGEB, and Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, is expected to attract visitors from 64 countries, particularly from the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.
A Growing Sector for the National Economy
Featuring cutting-edge innovations such as robotic systems, 3D printing and scanning, fiber laser cutting machines, CNC machinery, sub-industry equipment, factory systems, raw materials, and chemicals, the fair creates key opportunities for Turkey’s fast-growing manufacturing sector. In 2021, the share of manufacturing in Turkey’s GDP rose to 21%, while machinery exports reached a record USD 23 billion. With Industry 4.0 driving digital transformation, the sector continues to increase its global competitiveness, and BUMATECH is expected to accelerate this momentum.
Bursa’s Global Strength
Bursa, with its strong production infrastructure and high-quality standards in machinery, rightfully stands out as a global leader. The city is a hub for manufacturing in metalworking, machine tools, lifting and handling equipment, cooling and ventilation systems, agricultural, forestry, and food machinery. More than 70% of Turkey’s machinery production and around 80% of its exports are carried out in Bursa along with Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Konya, and Kocaeli.
