Controller and Scope
This notice explains personal data processing through freshweld.com.tr by FRESHWELD Uluslararası Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. (FRESHWELD International Trade and Industry Inc.), the data controller.
- Postal address: Meriç Mahallesi 5748/1 Sk. No:26 35090 Bornova – İZMİR / TÜRKİYE
- Email: info@freshweld.com.tr
- Registered electronic mail (KEP): freshweldticvesan@hs01.kep.tr
The Turkish Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (KVKK) governs the relevant processing. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies where its territorial and material scope is met, including relevant services offered to, or monitoring of, individuals in the EU. An English-language page alone does not establish that scope.
Reading this notice or visiting the website does not give consent to optional cookies, behavioural analysis or promotional emails. Relevant choices are obtained separately.
Data Categories and Collection
Depending on the form or service used, data is collected electronically through website forms, email correspondence, quotation processes, cookies and permitted website measurement.
- Contact and request details: Email address and, where required by the relevant request, name, telephone number, company, job/position and messages.
- Quotation and transaction details: Products of interest, products added to the quotation basket and request details; company address, tax office and tax number where required for a transaction.
- Price access: Registration email, verification/access status, related timestamps and secure access tokens.
- Technical and security details: IP address and derived identifiers used for integrity and abuse prevention; browser, device, operating system and language details recorded by the relevant system.
- VisitorIQ interests and interactions: Permitted product/category visits, visit frequency, sessions, product/quotation interactions and stages, and product-interest assessments derived from them.
- Preferences: Choice status, time, source and the version of the notice presented.
Random identifiers, hashes and email-linked profiles are not necessarily anonymous. Data that can be linked to an individual remains personal data.
Purposes and Legal Grounds
- Requests, quotations and support: Responding to your requests and taking necessary steps towards or performing the relevant contract. The conditions under KVKK Article 5(2)(c), and GDPR Article 6(1)(b) where applicable, are assessed for the particular activity.
- Verification and access: Verifying your email and managing requested price access. Necessary verification/access functions are assessed separately from optional behavioural profiling.
- Legal duties and protection of rights: Applicable obligations and establishment, exercise or defence of rights are assessed under KVKK Article 5(2)(ç) or 5(2)(e). Where GDPR applies, Article 6(1)(c) requires the relevant EU or Member State legal basis; Article 6(1)(f), where used for security or legal interests, requires necessity and a balancing assessment. These grounds do not automatically cover optional profiling.
- VisitorIQ and optional analytics/advertising: Processing based on the relevant consent choice under KVKK Article 5(1), and GDPR Article 6(1)(a) where applicable.
A choice for one purpose does not automatically cover others. The separate VisitorIQ acceptance on the price form does not enable Google, Meta, LinkedIn or Yandex cookies, and does not subscribe you to a general promotional newsletter.
VisitorIQ and Your Registration Email
VisitorIQ is FRESHWELD’s website visitor and quotation analysis system. It helps assess product research, interests and quotation progress to support product selection and relevant technical assistance.
The Marketing Cookies category can enable VisitorIQ. The separate acceptance presented on the price-access form covers this service only. When you accept that service during registration, permitted visits and product/quotation interactions can be linked to your registration email.
In the current service flow, active VisitorIQ acceptance is a condition for continued use of price visibility. Withdrawing it stops new VisitorIQ tracking and hides prices again. General browsing remains available. Such assessments do not establish final technical suitability or a binding quotation.
Email Communications
A price-access request can generate an email verification message and a verification reminder if verification remains incomplete. We may also respond to product-selection or quotation requests you submit.
Cookie acceptance does not authorise every type of promotional message. Any future automated recommendation or basket-reminder campaign requires a separate explanation of its scope and the applicable communication choices before activation.
Recipients and International Transfers
VisitorIQ’s internal FRESHWELD purpose is separate from third-party advertising and analytics. Its acceptance does not automatically export VisitorIQ records to Google, Meta, LinkedIn or Yandex.
Hosting, email delivery, infrastructure and support providers may process necessary data within their assigned tasks. Data may also be disclosed to competent public or judicial authorities where legally required.
Your cookie choices may allow Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or Yandex Metrica to receive online identifiers and page/interaction details. See the Cookie Policy.
International transfers require the applicable conditions and mechanisms under KVKK Article 9 and, where GDPR applies, Chapter V. Cookie acceptance alone does not replace those requirements. You may request information about recipients and applicable transfer safeguards through our contact channels.
Hosting Infrastructure and Processing Abroad
freshweld.com.tr uses Hostinger hosting infrastructure. Depending on the service, this infrastructure may process email and form details, price-access and verification records, visitor and session identifiers, associated product/category and quotation interactions, and technical access logs. The purposes are to operate the website and requested services, store records, maintain security and provide necessary technical support. The hosting provider acts as a processor within the scope of these services.
Keeping data in an access-restricted database managed by FRESHWELD does not remove the international-processing or transfer implications of overseas infrastructure. Overseas servers or backups, or remote access granted to overseas service providers, may constitute international transfers depending on the actual service arrangements. These infrastructure activities do not mean that VisitorIQ records are automatically sent to advertising platforms.
International transfers require the applicable conditions under KVKK Article 9 and, where GDPR applies, Chapter V. Cookie acceptance or separate VisitorIQ acceptance on the price form does not itself satisfy these requirements. You may request information about service providers, processing countries and relevant transfer safeguards at info@freshweld.com.tr.
Retention and Disposal
Cookie lifetime, price-access validity and database retention are different. Expiry of 60-day price access or removal of a visitor cookie does not itself delete email or product/quotation history.
Current scheduled cleanup uses a 30-day threshold for general page-view events and a 90-day inactivity threshold for certain visitors without identity, price-access or specified commercial links. Raw IP information is scheduled for removal after a 14-day threshold from the initial visitor record. Daily cleanup runs in limited batches. Derived or pseudonymous identifiers may remain subject to separate assessment.
Email-linked product/quotation profiles, requests and contact records are not all covered by those limited cleanup rules. Their retention is assessed according to the ongoing request/service relationship, purpose, last meaningful interaction, legal duties and protection of rights. When no lawful processing ground remains, data must be deleted, destroyed or genuinely anonymised in accordance with applicable law.
Changing or Withdrawing Choices
Use Reject All, or switch off Marketing Cookies and save settings, to stop new VisitorIQ tracking. This also withdraws the separate VisitorIQ acceptance made through the price form. In the current VisitorIQ-dependent price-access flow, prices become hidden; existing access/verification records are not automatically deleted. Previously verified access within its validity period can be used again after renewed VisitorIQ acceptance.
Withdrawal does not retrospectively invalidate processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal. Requests concerning existing records can be submitted separately.
Rights under KVKK
Under Article 11, you may ask whether data is processed, request information about it and its purposes or recipients, seek correction and, when the conditions are met, deletion or destruction and notification to recipients. You may object to an adverse result produced solely by automated analysis and seek compensation for unlawful processing.
Submit a written request to our postal address, through KEP, or from an email address previously provided to us and recorded in our system to info@freshweld.com.tr, subject to the applicable application rules. Identify yourself, provide contact details and explain your request. KVKK requests are resolved as soon as possible and within 30 days. Applicable complaint rights before the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board remain available.
Additional Rights Where GDPR Applies
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and, where its conditions are met, data portability; object to relevant processing, including direct marketing; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority. Applicable protections concerning solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects also apply.
Contact info@freshweld.com.tr. We may request proportionate identity verification. GDPR requests must be answered without undue delay, normally within one month. Where a lawful extension is necessary because of complexity or the number of requests, you must be informed within that month, with reasons. Erasure is subject to applicable exceptions and is not an unconditional promise of immediate deletion.
Security and Updates
Technical and organisational measures, including access controls, verification, secure communications and record management, are applied according to the data and risks concerned. The notice may change with our services. New purposes and the necessary choices are presented before the corresponding processing begins.
